I realized recently that I have seen more of Africa than I have of my own country. I also realized that I had nothing in particular to do between now and when my upcoming masters program starts on October 1. The solution? Cross country road trip.

Today was day 1. Departure: Fairfield, CT. Destination: Carrboro, NC. Tomorrow’s destination: Nashville, TN.

It’ll be just me, my friend Benny (pictured with me below), a car, a ridiculous amount of climbing gear, and a lot of open road for the next 20 days. We’ll be hitting as many places and as many rock faces as we can. And hopefully I’ll get just as much content for this blog as I do when traveling through rural Africa.
