Yesterday, I began the final leg of my fellowship. I’ve finished all my projects. I’ve traveled from Ethiopia to Zambia overland. I’ve seen a lot and learned a lot – both about various projects and about myself. This final month before I fly back to the US is purely for travel. Travel and reflection.

Today I visited Victoria Falls. Tomorrow, it’s the Caprivi Strip in Namibia, followed by Botswana’s Delta. Then I’ll explore Namibia’s coast and deserts, take a brief stopover in Cape Town, and return to Durban and Eshowe to visit my old host family from three years ago. I have a plan. Sort of. A large percentage of my plan includes hitchhiking.

I’ll post when I get the chance.
